Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York to Jamaican parents, Dominique Burnside also known as Dom Supremacy (a name given to her by her community in Toronto), is a multidisciplinary artist involved in modelling, djing, curating and event production. She continues to use sound as a way to communicate the journey of where she’s been and where she is headed.
Influenced by her heritage and her peers who have an intense love for sound allows her to experiment using instrumentals, ambient sound, affirmations to aid with the emotional high of open format; combining
genres that have opened her world such as house, gqom, footwork, jersey and more as her palette expands to cultivate her sound.
She currently resides in Toronto, Ontario where she is attending OCADU for Criticism and Curatorial Studies. As an artist, she has worked with many brands including Hanifa, Bianca Saunders, New Currency, Sojourn Festival and more as she navigates her creative career. Not limiting herself to one path, she fosters her creative expression through research and collaboration exploring themes such as memorbilia, initimacy, and identity continously within her work. Now hoping to pursue tour support, radio shows/segments and brand activations to expand her catalogue of performance work.
